My family is my inspiration and joy. I am the wife of a loving husband and mother to three amazing children. Ah, my children! Where do I begin? Nothing has brought me greater joy than watching them grow and develop into the unique individuals that they are today. Each day with them is a new and exciting life lesson taught. Through laughter, tears, and lots of cuddles, they have shaped me into the woman that I am today.
I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. From an early age, I developed a love for drawing and painting. I loved to draw and spent large amounts of time doing so. My children share the same love for artistic creation that I did as a young child, and I try to encourage and nurture that love in any way that I can. They have, however, often “creatively expressed” themselves on the walls in our home!
I attended Grant MacEwan College where I studied Fine Arts. This was a great learning experience for me and it was during my time at Grant MacEwan that I met my husband through a mutual friend. (Thanks Jarom!) Shortly after College, I began working in jewellery sales and design at Adamas Goldsmiths. Much to my husband’s dismay, it was there that I developed a love and interest for jewellery. I view each piece as sculpture and never cease to be amazed by the life and brilliance that each gemstone has to offer.
If there is one thing that I have learned as a mother, it is that precious life moments pass quickly, and it’s important not to miss them. Through my art, I try to capture these special moments—making them timeless and forever remembered. I continually strive to create works that uplift and bring joy to the soul, and it is my hope that the pieces I create will cause us to pause and reflect on the joys of our world.
